The Coastal and Oceanographic Research Center (PKPO) NAHRIM, represented by Ts. Noor Shahida Rosli, attended the Bako National Park Management Plan Improvement Workshop for the Preparation of an Oceanography Scope Monitoring Framework, organized by the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) at the Raia Hotel & Convention Center, Kuching, from 17 to 19 August 2026.
This three-day workshop aimed to provide exposure, foster understanding and served as a platform for exchanging information among agencies/organizations and stakeholders interested in Bako National Park. The input received is needed to enhance the management methods of the marine areas surrounding Bako National Park, as stipulated in the Bako National Park Management Plan.
Throughout the workshop, NAHRIM shared findings from oceanographic data observations in the Talang-talang waters conducted by NAHRIM in collaboration with SFC along with hydrodynamic studies in mangrove and sea level rise research.
