The Coastal and Oceanography Research Centre (PKPO) NAHRIM was pleased to host an Official Working Visit from the Joint Forces Headquarters, Kem Al-Sultan Abdullah, and the Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence (STRIDE), represented by Lieutenant Colonel Zulkifli Mohamad and Major Normaliza Abdullah. The objective of the visit was to discuss the Clean Water Supply System Transformation Project using Marine Water Desalination at ESSCOM Security Posts, covering Pulau Banggi, Pulau Berhala and Pulau Mabul.
The delegation was briefed with an introduction to NAHRIM, its ongoing research and development (R&D) activities, and the services it offers. The session then proceeded with a tour of the facilities at the Hydraulics and Instrumentation Laboratory (MHI).
Through this initiative, both parties hope that this high-impact project can be successfully realized. It is envisioned that the sharing of expertise and synergy between these agencies will deliver a significant impact in driving the nation’s development agenda.
