FUNCTION
Planning, managing, and improving policies, guidelines, and offering analytical water quality services in the laboratory;
Providing laboratory analytical support services for water quality to complement research and development in the field of hydro-environment;
Coordinating the implementation of the quality system in accordance with MS ISO/IEC 17025 and the guidelines of the Malaysian Laboratory Accreditation Scheme, Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia (SAMM).
Preparing a database for the centralization, storage, and provision of water quality analysis data in the laboratory;
Conducting research and product development in the field of hydro-environment.
Chemistry Laboratory
The MKA Chemistry Laboratory operates as a chemical testing lab that offers a wide range of chemical analysis services, focusing on wet chemistry. Our testing laboratory provides analytical testing across various sample substrates at levels ranging from:
i. Trace analysis (10 ppb to 1 ppm)
ii. Low-level analysis (1 ppm to 100 ppm)
iii. Major elements and high purity (100 ppm to 99.99%)
Biology Laboratory
The MKA Biology Laboratory provides testing services for microbial contaminants covering a wide range of commercial water testing, including drinking water, polluted open water systems, domestic water supply systems, public pools, ponds, and lakes. The laboratory emphasizes that accessibility and quick response time are two critical factors in the water sanitation sector. Our lab also offers other biology-related analyses such as chlorophyll-a. Our water microbiology testing services include:
