On May 15, 2026, the management of the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) conducted a progress monitoring session for the Solar Photovoltaic (Grid-Connected PV System) Installation Project at the NAHRIM Building. This site visit was led by the Deputy Director General, Ir. Ts. Gs. Dr. Safari Bin Haji Mat Desa, alongside the Director of the Water Quality Laboratory, Mr. Noor Hisham bin Ab Ghani, and a line-up of NAHRIM officers. The main objective of this monitoring exercise is to review the progress level and quality of the installation work by the appointed company, CMC Engineering Sdn Bhd, ensuring the project runs smoothly according to schedule, complies with technical specifications, and strictly meets the established safety standards.
This high-impact project is expected to be fully completed by July 5, 2026. Through the implementation of this green initiative, NAHRIM has high hopes that this facility will optimize the use of cleaner renewable energy (RE), thereby significantly reducing the carbon footprint and the building’s utility operating costs. This effort is also a testament to NAHRIM’s continuous commitment to empowering the environmental sustainability agenda, in line with the nation’s sustainable development aspirations for the well-being of future generations.
