A site visit and engagement session on the proposed replacement of the Underground Dam Project was held at Padang Saga Dam, Langkawi on 10 March 2026, followed by an engagement session on 11 March 2026 at the Meeting Room of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Langkawi.
The engagement session was chaired by Ir. Mohd Hamizi bin Abdullah, Head of the Project Planning and Monitoring Division, Water Supply Department (JBA). Also present were representatives from the Kedah State Water Resources Board (LSANK), Syarikat Air Darul Aman (SADA), DID Langkawi, and the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), represented by Ir. Dr. Safari bin Hj. Mat Desa, Acting Deputy Director General of NAHRIM, together with senior officers.
The discussion aimed to strengthen collaboration and enhance coordination among agencies in implementing the underground dam project to support more sustainable and resilient water resources management.
