Research Officers from the Water Quality Laboratory, Institut Penyelidikan Air Kebangsaan Malaysia (NAHRIM) attended an educational seminar titled “RESTEK Day: Elevate Your Lab Chromatography’s Precision & Productivity” held at M World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The seminar organised by Restek and Lab Science Solution, focused on the latest developments and innovations in chromatography technology, including next-generation GC Columns (RMX), sample preparation techniques, liquid chromatography (LC) separation, high-quality organic reference standards, as well as EZGC & EZLC software applications.
The seminar also highlighted analytical methods for PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), which are currently among the key focuses in water pollution monitoring. Participation in high-impact seminars such as this is essential to ensure that the analytical capabilities of the Water Quality Laboratory remain relevant, competitive, and at the forefront of water quality analysis, while further strengthening the accuracy, reliability, and productivity of research for the benefit of national water resource management.
