NAHRIM is strengthening its role as the environmental sector focal point on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through participation in the development of the National One Health Strategic Plan, following the First ASEAN One Health Network Meeting in August 2025. Aligned with the establishment of the National One Health Committee under the National Biodiversity Council in May 2025, chaired by YAB Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah bin Yusof, this collaboration drives a holistic approach across human, animal, and environmental sectors. This initiative not only coordinates the functions of technical government departments to avoid overlap but also ensures a more systematic and high-impact management of cross-sectoral health issues.
