The National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) has taken a proactive step in addressing the critical issue of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) in Malaysia. A significant meeting and discussion were held between the Director General of NAHRIM, senior officers, and a delegation of industry players from South Korea.
Key Discussion Areas:
The discussion focused on the potential for strategic collaboration to commercialize advanced innovative products specially developed to tackle NRW challenges.
These innovative products offer highly effective solutions to:
i. Detect and prevent water leakage in treated water supply pipes.
ii. Ensure treated water is not lost before reaching water meters at residential or commercial premises.
iii. Prevent substantial revenue losses incurred by water supply companies.
We believe that through international collaborations such as this, NAHRIM can bring the latest innovative technologies into the local market, helping Malaysian water operators achieve NRW reduction targets and enhance their operational efficiency!
