27 NOVEMBER 2025 | NAHRIM DIGITALISATION STRATEGIC DIRECTION WORKSHOP 2026–2030
The NAHRIM Digitalisation Strategic Direction Workshop 2026–2030 was held in Putrajaya, coordinated by the Information Management Division as the main platform to outline the organisation’s digitalisation roadmap for the next five years (2026–2030).
The workshop was officiated by NAHRIM’s Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Ts. Dr. Mohammad Fikry bin Abdullah, and led by the Acting Director of the Information Management Division, Ts. Harlisa binti Zulkifli, with the active involvement and commitment of the NAHRIM 2026–2030 Digitalisation Strategic Plan Working Committee. The programme also received strategic support from researchers of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and industry partners, ABR Setia Holding.
The workshop focused on group discussions covering strategic thrusts, strategies, programmes and digitalisation action plans, emphasising NAHRIM’s digitalisation as a regional water hub, strengthening digital governance, data management, core system empowerment and the enhancement of digital human capital.
The highlight of the programme was the presentation of the ICT Strategic Direction to NAHRIM Top Management, showcasing the overall outcomes of the workshop, which included:
- Business, Applications and Data
- Digital Governance and Capability
- Infostructure and Infrastructure
This workshop emphasised the importance of digitalisation as a catalyst for data-driven organisational transformation, in line with NAHRIM’s aspiration to strengthen its role as a regional hub for water and environmental research. It marks another significant strategic step in enhancing NAHRIM’s organisational digitalisation landscape for the 2026–2030 period.
