KANGAR | 15 January 2026 – The NAHRIM team conducted a technical discussion session and site visit with the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) Perlis for the implementation of the Study on Identification of Flood Causes and Solutions in the State of Perlis.
The session focused on data discussions and forensic scope to obtain a comprehensive understanding of flood issues and their causes in critical areas. Discussions also involved reviewing the availability of existing hydrological, hydraulic and flood infrastructure data to support the study.
The NAHRIM delegation, led by Ir. Marini binti Mohamad Ideris, also conducted field visits to observe the actual flood situations at affected locations, including Kampung Bakau, Tebing Tinggi, and Kampung Titi Besi.
NAHRIM remains committed to providing technical input to ensure effective flood mitigation solutions can be formulated for the well-being of the people of the state.
