The National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM) was honored to welcome The Hon. Dato’ Sri Abdul Rahman bin Haji Mohamad, Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), for a working visit to our Rainwater Harvesting System (SPAH) Incubator Facility today.
During the visit, the Hon. Deputy Minister was briefed on the innovation of rainwater harvesting as an alternative drinking water resource through NAHRIM’s research products, Raindrops and Cloudrain. He also toured the treatment process, the advanced micro-nano carbon filtration system, and the bottling facility, which adheres to stringent drinking water quality standards.
This SPAH initiative underscores NAHRIM’s commitment to exploring sustainable and innovative water solutions to address national water security challenges, aligning with the water transformation agenda under the PETRA ministry.
