6 March 2026, NAHRIM through the Centre for Water Resources and Climate Change Studies (PKSA) completed a fruitful virtual discussion session with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) to strengthen the sustainability and climate resilience reporting initiatives of the country’s corporate sector.
Among the main focuses discussed were:
National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF): Harmonisation of data support and flood risk reporting covering Selangor, Penang, and Johor as the main reference for reporting entities under the NSRF.
Flood & Climate Projection Data Sharing: Detailed discussion on the legal terms for the N-HyDAA platform as well as the data of flood projections for Selangor and Kuala Lumpur for the present, 2030, 2050, and 2080 under various climate scenarios (RCP 2.6, 4.5, and 8.5).
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU): Refine the draft MoU between NAHRIM and SC which will be finalized soon.
Rainwater Harvesting System: Study the feasibility of rainwater harvesting system as a more sustainable water management solution.
