YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Nasehir Khan E.M. Yahaya, Acting Director-General of NAHRIM, attended a meeting to discuss the decree issued by His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong regarding water resource preparedness in key industrial areas in the southern region of Johor, which has become increasingly critical following the shutdown of three Water Treatment Plants (LRA) along the Johor River. The incident also affected water supply to Singapore.
The meeting was chaired by YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Rodzwan bin Mohd Baba Sakri, Deputy Secretary-General (Water), Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation.
Also present were representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, the National Water Services Commission (SPAN), Johor State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN Johor), Johor Water Regulatory Body (BAKAJ), Ranhill SAJ, and the Water Supply Department.
