The Food Safety Conference 2026, organised by the Food Safety and Quality Programme, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health, at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC). Held under the theme “Innovation and New Technologies – Challenges or Opportunities?”, the conference brought together policymakers, food manufacturers, academics, industry practitioners and stakeholders from across the country to exchange knowledge and perspectives on food safety.
NAHRIM was honored to be invited by the Food Safety and Quality Programme, MOH, to deliver a presentation entitled “Microplastics: From Research to Proactive Action”, presented by ChM Nor Salmi Abdullah from the Water Quality Laboratory, NAHRIM. The conference also featured 5 keynote addresses, 27 oral presentations and 21 poster presentations, attracting more than 200 participants.
