3 December 2025 | Marriot Hotel Putrajaya — The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES), organised the first Knowledge Exchange Session as part of the development efforts for Malaysia’s National Adaptation Plan (MyNAP).
The session aimed to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance understanding of climate risk concepts, and support adaptation governance based on international best practices. Experts from the German Environment Agency (UBA) also shared their experiences and insights on implementing adaptation governance systems in their country.
Representatives from NAHRIM, including staff from PKSA and PKPO, were present at the session together with other members of the Technical Working Group (TWG), in an effort to strengthen collaboration and deepen understanding of climate adaptation needs in Malaysia.
This session marks the first in a series of Knowledge Exchange initiatives that will be conducted throughout 2025–2026 to support the development of MyNAP through the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and international best practices.
