26 FEBRUARY 2026 | EXPLORING SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY: STRATEGIC SYNERGY BETWEEN NAHRIM & SPACEIN
NAHRIM recently held a preliminary meeting and discussion with SpaceIN, an agency from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), to explore potential Satellite Technology Research. The meeting, held on 26 February 2026 (Thursday), was chaired by YBrs. Ir. Ts. Gs. Dr. Safari Hj. Mat Desa, Deputy Director General of NAHRIM.
SpaceIN stands as a testament to local expertise, led by a dedicated team of academic experts and engineers. Their mission is to prove that Malaysia is capable of developing space technology that is both cost-effective and highly efficient. This collaboration is expected to pave the way for new innovations in water resource monitoring and management through the application of precise and up-to-date satellite data.
It is hoped that this initiative will catalyze the advancement of home-grown technology in addressing climate change and national water security challenges.
