25 FEBRUARY 2026 | EXPLORING GEOSPATIAL EXCELLENCE AT IWK KUALA LUMPUR
A technical visit to the Geospatial Excellence center at Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) Kuala Lumpur was successfully conducted on 25 February 2026 (Wednesday). The session, held at Level 11 of the IWK Headquarters, focused on observing the digital transformation within national utility management firsthand.
IWK’s Geospatial Excellence has been widely recognized for its outstanding use of advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to manage utility infrastructure systematically. By integrating GIS into daily operations, IWK has significantly enhanced its operational efficiency through the establishment of a robust data-process ecosystem. This achievement is a direct result of strong top-management commitment to fostering a results-oriented, data-driven culture.
It is hoped that the insights gained regarding geospatial technology will provide valuable input toward strengthening national wastewater infrastructure data management, ensuring a more sustainable environment for the future.
