The Hydraulics and Instrumentation Laboratory, or MHI, was established in April 2007

INTRODUCTION

MHI conducts research and development activities through physical modelling in water and environmental engineering.

The laboratory is capable of conducting experimental work on the integrity of hydraulic structures, including breakwaters, groynes, dams, bridges, ports and harbors, as well as testing hydraulic products.

FUNCTIONS AND ROLES

To carry out research and development (R&D) in physical hydraulic modelling related to rivers, dams, coasts, offshore areas, lakes, sediment transport, wave interaction, water structure stability, wave overtopping and run-up, and other related areas.
