17 January 2026 | YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Hj. Nasehir Khan E.M. Yahaya, Director-General of the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), accompanied YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Rodzwan bin Mohd Baba Sakri, Deputy Secretary-General (Water), Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) on a technical visit to the proposed Underground Water Storage Project at the Melaka River Basin, as well as the Padang Saga Dam, Langkawi.
Discussions were also held to formulate strategies for the systematic implementation of water resource and supply management projects. Officers from the Water Supply Department (JBA), Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) and the Sewerage Services Department (JPP) were also in attendance.
