NAHRIM was honoured to receive a Courtesy Visit from the Ministry of Water Resources of the People’s Republic of China this morning. The programme formed part of the official working visit agenda of the Chinese delegation to Malaysia, aimed at preparations for the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) Meeting scheduled for 2026.
The visit also served as a platform for discussions on challenges related to water resources and water supply management and research, sewerage systems, as well as dam and flood management faced by both countries.
The discussion session was chaired by YBrs. En. Ismail bin Tawnie, P.Geol, Director of the Hydrogeology Research Centre, and was attended by officers from the relevant research centres, divisions and laboratories. The programme itinerary also included technical visits to NAHRIM’s research facilities, namely the Hydraulic and Instrumentation Laboratory and ISPAH NAHRIM.
Also present were En. Mursyidul Syafik and officers from the Water Resources Division (BSA), PETRA.
