The Coordination Meeting on the Feasibility of the Nature-Based Solution (NBS) Study was held on 11 May 2026 at the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), chaired by YBrs. Ir. Ts. Gs. Dr. Safari bin Haji Mat Desa, Deputy Director General of NAHRIM who is currently assuming the duties of the Director General.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands to Malaysia, Mr. Pieter Blussé, to discuss proposed strategic collaboration in the implementation of Nature-Based Solution (NBS)-based projects in the Bernam River Basin. The discussion is expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation while supporting the development of more sustainable, resilient, and environmentally friendly water resources management in line with the national sustainability agenda.
