3 December 2025 | NAHRIM had the opportunity to participate in a Business Matching Meeting with a delegation of technocrats from Canada in conjunction with the Canada–Malaysia Water Sharing and Innovation Exhibition held at the Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The event was officiated by the High Commissioner of Canada, HE Mdm Jodi Robinson.
Canada is currently focusing on strengthening its relations with countries in the Asian region, including Malaysia, as part of its efforts to become an active strategic partner in the water sector.
This support includes pioneering technologies and demonstrations of clean technology innovations aligned with the aspirations of the Water Sector Roadmap 2040 (AIR 2040), particularly in infrastructure modernisation, the adoption of smart technologies, real-time monitoring, and wastewater treatment solutions to address the challenges of urbanisation and industrial development.
During this session, the Canadian delegation also expressed confidence that NAHRIM is the right strategic partner to explore deeper collaboration opportunities with several Canadian organisations such as DBO International, Intelligent Project Solution, KenWave Solutions Inc., Probiosphere, Russel Group, and WaterShed Monitoring.
A positive step towards strengthening national water innovation through international collaboration.
