Committee Set Up To Report On Abused Elephant In Langkawi - Wan Junaidi
LANGKAWI, March 14 (Bernama) -- A committee has been set up to furnish a report on an elephant which was allegedly abused in tourism activities.
Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today said the ministry's deputy secretary-general, Datuk Dr Azimuddin Bahari and Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director-general, Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim were tasked with providing the report.
"After that, we will study and make a decision in the interest of all parties," he told reporters after visiting Langkawi Elephant Adventure (LEA) at Oriental Village.
