Project Details:

River pollution in the country especially in urban areas has been increased.  For instance, Juru River is categorized as one of the highly polluted river.  However, there is a need to understand and studied the pollution sources before any remediation actions to be imposed.  In foreign countries, water quality modeling using unsteady flow has been the most popular tools in water quality study.

Objective :

• To develop 1 Dimensional model for Juru River basin using unsteady flow
• To study parameters affecting water quality in the river system
• To develop a simple, fast and accurate technique in developing hydrodynamic water quality model
• To build expertise in hydrodynamic river modelling
