Project Details:

Flash flood due to the urban development is one of the main water issues in the country. There are many approaches to mitigate this problem such as the introduction of MSMA as a guide to the river engineers and developers. But, the effectiveness of the approaches needs to be studied well. For that, this research is aim to understand the flood behaviors before any structural measures are carried out.

Objective :

• To develop a complete river model using Infoworks RS consisting of hydrological, hydraulic and ground model covering main river system and flood plain
• To study the parameters affecting flood behaviors such as infiltration rate, roughness,  Manning n, time of concentration and others.
