Hydrology analysis involved:
- Examine rainfall data within the study area
- Develop a new IDF for the study area and compare with IDF obtained from MSMA
- Generate sub-catchments within the study area and categorized the land use and soil types
- Analysis of "Rainfall - runoff"
- Produce hydrograph for each sub-catchments which act as an input for drainage model

Hydro analysis involved :
- Examine rainfall data within the study area

- Developed hydrodynamic river system model at project site
- Carried out hydraulic analysis to study the effect of highway construction to the flood behavior
- Obtained the highest level of flood for 100 years ARI as the reference for highway and bridge design

The main aim of reviewing and updating the procedure are mainly to overcome the following issues: - To enhance and improve the accuracy of quantiles estimation particularly at high return period;
- To improve the estimation of design rainstorm/rainfall intensity with respect to the temporal storm variability
- To improve the estimation of design rainstorm/rainfall intensity with respect to the spatial storm variability
- Ability to support the Urban Stormwater Management Manual (MSMA) with respect to the estimation of design rainstorm for low return period and to provide more at-site IDF relationship
- Ability to provide the estimation of design rainstorm/rainfall intensity and IDF relationship at ungauged site.
