    3 September 2012 – Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) in collaboration with NAHRIM held the Strategic Consultative Lab entitled "Information Management Capacity" on 3 September 2012 and "Stakeholder Awareness and Participation" on 4 September 2012 at the Mini Auditorium, NAHRIM.

    This Lab was organised to review, confirm, expand or updating of the information which has been collated by ASM during the "Study on the Status of Climate Change Impact on Water-Related Issues" last year. Additional information such as agency’s initiatives, the current status of the project/program, gaps and recommendations as well as the "way forward" for adaptation to climate change is much needed.
    About 45 participants from various government agencies, private and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) who have an interest in the impact of climate change on water-related issues attended this Lab. The Welcoming Speech was delivered by YBrs.  Mr. P. Loganathan, ASM representatives while YBrs. Ir. Hj. Ahmad Jamalluddin bin Shaaban, the Director General of NAHRIM delivered the Official Opening Speech.
    A total of 5 (five) presentation focusing on “Issues and Challenges” was presented during the 2 (two) days program. In addition, breakout session was held where participants were divided into 4 (four) groups to deliberate and share their experience from their respective agencies using the Issue Base Information System (IBIS) technique and the outcome of the discussion was presented by each group leader.
